Material Material Properties
Carbide Cemented carbide is a powder metallurgical composite consisting of hard material phases (e.g. tungsten carbide) and a binding material (e.g. cobalt). Characterized by high wear resistance and thermal stability, it offers service life several times longer than die steel, though with higher material cost and machining difficulty.
Ceramic Ceramic materials provide excellent high temperature resistance (180°C to 1200°C) and chemical resistance, especially in acid/alkaline solutions. Common types include alumina, zirconia, silicon carbide, and silicon nitride ceramics.
HSS High speed steel offers superior abrasion resistance and toughness, ideal for small batch production or applications requiring material toughness.
